Update on How I Get Backlinks

This is going to be a bit of a short post.

I’ve been testing a lot lately and some of the previously mentioned backlinking methods are basically unnecessary in my opinion.

However, I’ve been continually getting page one rankings using the following 2 simple methods:

    1) SEO TrackBacks – This piece of software gathers info on the latest blogs out there using Google Trends, then finds those that are unmoderated and don’t have a captcha, and posts whatever comment you want, including a link, to as many of them as you want. I usually tell it to do 20-40 links per url, per day, as not all of them will stick. The creator of the software is also adding a proxy option to it as we speak.

    2) The Link Juicer – This software groups the social bookmarking accounts of thousands of users, and posts your link to up to 10 of them per day, randomly, with cleverly spun, unique content.

I use these two solutions for niche keyword sites as well as larger authority sites.

For niche keyword (1-2 page) wordpress blog sites, as I’ve mentioned before, I am still mostly following the Google Sniper Method of getting the .com, .net, or .org domain of my targeted keyword. If its not available I move on.

And again, I’m using Market Samurai for keyword research. I typically only target keywords with competition under 100k, with over 50% OCI, over 50% PBR (or just select “phrase match” only), and at least 3,000 searches per month.

And don’t forget to ping your site’s URL, as well as the URL’s of your backlinks once you get them. I prefer to use the free “Ping Machine” software from SEOMunchies.com

Here is a list of the 24 services I have uploaded into Ping Machine, so my links/pages get pinged in multiple places.

If you are thinking you need to use more tools, methodologies, tips, tricks, fancy shmancy algorithms, etc. – STOP.

The best tip I can give you is to IGNORE 99% of what you are reading about regarding SEO. Stop wasting your time and simply do the above. I’ve tested it dozens and dozens of times and IT WORKS. You don’t need to look for a “magic pill” or “secret”.

The secret is… there is no secret.

Also, some of the links above are affiliate links. But unlike most affiliate marketers, I actually USE the tools/solutions mentioned above. I have a video of myself using them inside BringTheFresh.com. And I’m working on another video case study right now that will be available inside of Bring the Fresh soon. The first part of it will be available here free on my blog shortly.

Please test this stuff out for yourself and post your results back here to we can all help each other out.

    It’s all happening.

Happy New Year! (It’s all happening)

Hey guys, sorry it’s been a while. For the past few weeks I’ve been filming a series of pretty intense interview style recordings, covering  everything I’ve ever done and learned online over the past 10 years, good and bad, as well as what I’m working on now. Nothing is off limits, and everything is as transparent as possible.

I have about 2 hours of material left to cover, then I will be releasing the videos as a product in mid to late January. This will be the only internet marketing product I will ever release. Of course I will add many additional videos to it over the remaining years of my career as I learn and develop new methods, but they will be free to all members.

Feel free to make suggestions here on my blog about what material you would personally like included, and I will make sure to get it in these last few videos before we go live.

Now back to the Google Sniper method I mentioned in a previous post. I’d like to clarify exactly how I use Market Samurai to find keywords/domains for SEO purposes.

Market Samurai is pretty much the coolest software I’ve ever used. It includes much more information than I would ever need or use to evaluate a market/niche.

The only 4 variables I really care about in Market Samurai are:

    1) Searches – I set the minimum to 100. This is the number of times the keyword/phrase is searched for per day.

    2) SEOC – I set this to 100,000. This is the number of competing website for the keyword phrase. In other words, it is not “broad” match but “phrase” match. Obviously the lower the better. Keep in mind that there is a big difference between 100,000 and 30,000. If you find a keyword with under 30,000 I can almost guarantee you will get the # 1 spot if you use the backlink techniques described below.

    3) OCI – I set the minimum to 50% – this is the percentage chance that these searchers are typically going to pull out their wallet for what they are searching for. I’ve tested this with MANY keywords and found that it is typically very reliable – some of my best converting keywords are listed as 84% OCI

    4) Match Type – I always set this to “phrase”. This shows you the real picture of how many people are typing in the exact keyword phrase, rather than the default “broad” match, which shows how many times the word or phrase is included with other words you don’t have any info on.

I’ll also go over getting backlinks one more time as simply as possible.

For information on what kind of site to create and how to create it, check my previous post here.

The backlinking process below has worked for authority sites of mine, as well as simple 2 page Google Sniper type sites. One of my authority sites currently has 124,000 pages indexed and 2,000 backlinks using the simple system below. It gets 1,900 organic visitors every day and is growing steadily as Google continues to index 4,000 new pages per day. I’m detailing everything about this site in the video interviews I mentioned above.

I use the following sources/software for backlinks:

    1) SEO Trackbacks – This is the software I use to get backlinks from blogs. I usually set it to 20-40 links per week.

    2) The Link Juicer – I use this program to get up to 10 links per day. It’s a conglomerate of about 20,000 aged and unique social bookmarking and content accounts where your links will be dispersed randomly with varying anchor text and descriptions. It also has a 30 day free trial.

    3) Angela’s Links and Paul’s Links – These 2 link sources send you a PDF file with instructions on exactly where and how to get 80 fresh new links every month from PR5 to PR9 sites. The pages themselves do not have the same pagerank as the homepage, but they still carry weight based on my experience. I use someone from GetAFreelancer.com to create 100 of these links to my sites every month for $30 per month. So you don’t even necessarily need to join Angela or Paul’s services to benefit from them. The guys on GetAFreelancer.com typically already have access to the links.

    4) The Ping Machine (free) – Software allows you to paste all of your links to be pinged as well as all of the ping services you would like to ping to. Make sure you ping the URL’s of every page that contains a backlink to you. This basically notifies Google that it’s there, so you don’t have to wait for them to find it.

    5) I make an RSS feed of my backlinks (I do about 20-25 per feed) using html2rss.com. I add the RSS feed to FeedBurner, making it look like http://feeds.feedburner.com/my-site). Submit the new Feedburner feed to various RSS aggregators out there. You can do it on your own, or use software such as RSSbot.

    6) I use Bookmarking Demon to social bookmark the RSS feeds. You can use it to individually bookmark your backlinks, but after a while you will have so many that doing the feeds instead becomes much more efficient.

That’s it. Welcome to good rankings and free traffic (AND free money).

    ————————

I previously mentioned that I purchased Wordpress Mage and was testing it. I’m sorry to say I was not impressed, and decided to get a refund of this $1200 product. I found the tutorial videos quite lacking and not up to date. Many times I was forced to search the forum to find answers to my problems, which was quite a task in itself, and it didn’t always result in me finding the answer I needed. Sure I could’ve relied on customer support, but I literally had dozens of questions and didn’t want to go back and forth waiting.

As a 10 year online marketer, if I’m having trouble with the software, there’s a good chance a lot of others are too. And for $1,200 I’m not looking for frustration. And did I mention that my Ebay Publisher Account got banned? Yeah, not good. Especially when my other projects are working just fine without all of the hassle. This is just another example of why I believe doing sites right (and under the radar), and spending a little more time on them is the best route.

Be sure to let me know of any questions or material you would like covered in my videos! Thanks!

    Just do this…

Ok this post is going to be for people who aren’t making money online, or are making very little. Those of you who are doing just fine, you may be interested too, but if not, just ignore it.

    Let’s begin.

Go to www.thirtydaychallenge.com and join. Its free. There you will find a link to my favorite keyword software, Market Samurai. By getting it through this site, you will get a promotion code for a free 40 day trial.

By the way if you haven’t gone through the 30 day challnege before, I highly recommend it. And that is not an affiliate link.

After you’ve downloaded Market Samurai and opened it, you are asked to pick a keyword. Pick a general keyword related to a Clickbank product, or an Amazon product.

If you are not an Amazon affiliate, join here.

If you are not a Clickbank affiliate, join here.

Now back to Market Samurai. For this demonstration, I’ll pick a general category in Clickbank and go with the keyword “forex”.

Market Samurai will create a project for you called forex. On the next page, click on the keyword research tab. On the next page don’t do anything except click “generate keywords”.

A captacha will popup to fill out.

Next click “analyze keywords” at the bottom right of the page.

On the next page under “organic” click the plus sign next to “total searches” and set the minimum to 100.

Under “Competition”, click the plus sign next to SEOC and set the maximum to 100,000.

Under “Commerciality”, click the plus sign and set the minimum to 50.

Now review the remaining keywords. Look for the one with the most searches combined with the least competition, combined with the highest OCI.

You can click on the searches column to sort highest to lowest, and you can also do the same with OCI and SEOC.

Say you’ve decided to target the keyphrase “forex auto robot” (i’m just making this one up)

So what you do is go to godaddy and buy the domain name forexautorobot.com or .net or .org

If none of those 3 are available, I scrap this keyword and pick the next best one. Its very important for (easy) SEO purposes to have the keyword as your domain, and it can only be .com, .net. or .org. I’ve tested .tv and .info and neither have worked as well for me. If the domains are not available, pick a different keyword from market samurai that looks good and keep doing so until you find one that has a domain available.

OK so once you’ve gotten the domain, next you need to get a “baby” hosting plan at Host Gator for $7.95/month.

This account will allow you to host unlimited sites. It will be the only hosting account you need.

Now once you’ve purchased your hosting plan, you will be given an email with login info to your “cpanel”. This is where you control your hosting account.

Now log into it and go down to the bottom left and it will show you the “nameservers” for you account. Usually something like ns2406.hostgator.com and ns2407.hostgator.com. Write these down.

Now go to godaddy and login. Go to “my domains” and click on the forexautorobot.com domain you just bought. Now click on the link in the toolbar above it called “name servers”. This is where you will change the nameservers to those you copied from your Host Gator account.

In about 20 minutes your domain will now be linked to your hosting account. Now you don’t have to deal with godaddy anymore.

Go back to your hosting cpanel. Near the bottom, there will be a section called “Software/Services”.

    Click on “Fantastico Delux”

Now on the next page on the left click “Wordpress”.

    Next choose “new installation”.

Now choose your domain to install to in the drop down menu.

    Leave the directory field blank.

Choose your username and password, email address, etc.

    Then click “install wordpress”.

You now can go to your site such as forexautorobot.com and you will see that you have a basic wordpress blog installed perfectly on your site.

    Now go to forexautorobot.com/wp-admin

Log in using the username and password you selected a minute ago.Now you are in your site’s wordpress admin area.

Now scroll down and on the bottom left under the “settings” tab, click general.

Edit your general settings to something like:

Title: Forex auto robot (your main keyword)
Tagline: forex auto robot is awesome because…

    Save the changes.

Now under the “settings” tab again on the bottom left, click on permalinks.

Edit Permalink Settings to the following:

    /%postname%/

This makes your posts appear as:

www.forexautorobot.com/how to make money with forex auto robot/

Instead of the default which is forexautorobot.com/p=42345

    Much more search engine friendly.

    Save changes.

Next go to the “pages” tab on the left side of your wordpress admin.

Here you can edit the About page and call it something like “Disclosure” or “Compensation Disclosure”. On this page you simply need to write a paragraph explaining that some of the links on your site may result in you being paid a commission. No big deal. Almost nobody will read it, yet it will make your site compliant with the new FTC rules.

Next, go to the “settings” tab in your wordpress admin and click “privacy”. Make sure there is a tick mark next to “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers”. (I’ve forgotten this one a few times, and if you forget it, you’re screwed)

Next go to the “appearance” tab on the left side of the wordpress admin. Click “add new themes”.

Now you can search for any kind of theme you want, for a much better looking blog. Once you find one that looks good to you, click download/install.

Then go back to the “appearance” tab and click “themes”. You will now see your current theme and below it will say “available themes”. This is where the one you just picked will be located. Under it, click activate.

Now go to your site “forexautorobot.com” and you will see it has the new theme installed and viewable to the public.

Now click the back button to go back to your wordpress admin.

Next go to the tab on the left of your wordpress admin and click on “posts”. Here you should delete the standard “hello world” post and get ready to make a new one, which will be your first article about forex auto robot. Obviously with your affiliate link in it.

You can either write the article yourself or pay someone to do it at Articlez.com which has good American writers for $6-$8 per article.

With the new FTC laws in effect, instead of pre-selling a product I’ve never used, or “reviewing” it as an authority, what I like to do is write a “review of reviews”.

For example, I’ll look at 5 other good reviews about the product and sum them up into my own review, along the lines of something like:

“4 out of 5 Amazon customers stated that they absolutely loved this TV, but 2 of them were not so thrilled about the remote because it eats up batteries like crazy, blah blah blah”. Then expand on exactly what the customers said. I like to create reviews of reviews, that include pros and cons, with cons that aren’t really that bad. Something that’s not necessarily a dealbreaker, but makes the reader feel like you aren’t trying to “sell” them, and you are being honest in your review. People are smarter now when they read product reviews, so treat them as such, and respect them. I can’t stress enough how important this is.

If you don’t want to write the review yourself, simply copy and paste the above paragraph to your writer at Articlez.com, and have them do it. They take instructions well.

Once you have your article, add it to your Wordpress post with your affiliate link at the end and click “publish”.

Now go to your site and you will see you have a nice looking blog with your article on it.

Now go to pingomatic.com and ping your site’s url. (forexautorobot.com)

Pinging the url notifies Google that it exists, and gets Google to start indexing/ranking your site.

Next, post 2 more articles to your blog over the next 2 days, each tightly themed around your keyword (forex auto robot). Ping your site again each time you have a new post, using Pingomatic.

3 posts should be enough for your site.

Now get a few backlinks back to your site using the same keyword as your anchor text in the link. Put up a job on GetaFreelancer.com and hire someone to add 50-100 backlinks to your site that are PR5 or better. Tell them to use Angelas backlinks or Pauls backlinks. They will know what you mean. When they are done, make them give you the exact publicly viewable url’s of each backlink they create for you. I’ve found that people will create these links for you for $20 per 50 backlinks.

Once the job is done (it shouldn’t take them more than 2-3 days) go to pingomatic.com and ping the urls of each backlink they created for you – but only ping 10 of them a day. 50-100 in one day may seem too spammy to Google for a new website. You may even be better off just pinging 3-5 of them a day.

Now create an account at digg.com and “Digg” your own site. You should also “digg” the urls where your backlinks are – again maybe only digg 3-5 of them per day. You can also outsource this process to someone on GetaFreelancer.com

Make note of each of the the public digg pages that show each of your diggs. Now go back to pingomatic and ping those digg urls too. Again maybe only 3-5 of them a day.

You are now golden and should never have to touch this site again or do anything else. It should be ranked highly in Google for your keyphrase within one week and create passive income for you every month. Not all of them will be bigtime winners, but the majority will.

This method CANNOT fail, especially if you do this will several sites/keywords every week.

Make one of these sites every day and follow the steps outlined above. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours per site, and each one should bring you a few hundred dollars in residual income every month for many years to come.

If a site ever starts to slip in the rankings after you are in the top 10, or they don’t quite make the top 10, but get close, just get a few more backlinks and write an additional post and do all of that pinging stuff again.

Never add more than 10 backlinks per day or your site may be penalized because it is too new. This is important to remember.

There are a few additional “plugins” available inside of wordpress to make your site even more Google friendly such as “SEO All in One”, but it’s not really necessary in my opinion. Just get the sites up as I’ve said above and you should be fine. You can always add plugins later if you want to.

Anytime you want to add a new site, make sure you go into godaddy and change its nameservers to your hostgator nameservers. Then log into your hostgator cpanel and under “domains” click “add-on domain”. Then just type in the domain and pick a password. Then go to fantastico and install wordpress on it and repeat the whole process above.

Any questions, feel free to ask. This process isn’t perfect or even potentially the best way to do things, but it’s easy, and I’ve tested it, and it’s what I give my friends who ask about making money online and have no experience. You may have a better way, or tweaks that work a little better. If so, great! Feel free to share.

    Take Care,

    Kelly

P.S. You can also find your own high quality .edu and .gov backlinks without relying on “Angela/Paul” links if you want. Just go to Google and type in things like:

    site:.edu inurl:wp-login.php +blog

    site:.gov inurl:wp-login.php +blog

    site:.mil inurl:wp-login.php +blog

    site:.edu inurl:”wp-admin” +login

site:.edu “no comments” +blogroll -”posting closed” -”you must be logged in” -”comments are closed”

site:.gov “no comments” +blogroll -”posting closed” -”you must be logged in” -”comments are closed”

    site:.gov +blog +create +user

    site:.gov +blog +create +profile

inurl:edu|gov “no comments” +blogroll -”posting closed” -”you must be logged in” -”comments are closed”

Manipulate the above techniques in various ways. Just in a few minutes the other day I found 4 .gov and 5 .edu links this way, and they only had a few links on them. One of them had zero links. Now it has one ;)

Also go to google and type in “backlinks”.

You will see a goarticles.com article listed in the top 5 by “Angela.

    The url is http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1151743

Now go to http://www.backlinkwatch.com and put her url in the form and submit it. It will show you all of the places she gets her own backlinks from.

    :)

All that matters to get ranked highly is unique content, the right keyword density, and high quality backlinks with the right anchor text. That’s really it.

And if you don’t want to deal with creating your own site, simply post a unique “review of reviews” article on ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com and then link lots of Angela/Paul backlinks or similar links to it. Even if you get 100 or 500 good links overnight, Google won’t ban you or think anything suspicious because those sites get thousands of new backlinks every day.

Just do this stuff EVERY DAY. In a few months your life will have changed. Its not rocket science, and its not hard. And you don’t need to buy any ebooks or courses to do this. Many of the most successful businesses and people in the world have figured out how to do something very simple that makes them money. And they do it over and over and over again. It doesn’t need to be groundbreaking or hard. It just needs to work. And this does.

Nice Little Method for Passive Income

I keep getting a lot of emails about my 15 step SEO process. While I’m not really ready to reveal it at this point, I would like to say that a good portion of it is similar to the Google Sniper method.

You’ve probably already heard of the sniper method, and I highly recommend it. My system uses several tweaks to this process, but some of the fundamentals are definitely similar to Google Sniper.

I almost always use my main keyword in my url, such as www.supercoolkeyword.com or .net or .org. That’s not all the sniper method is, but its a core part of the program.

I use Market Samurai to do keyword research and anytime my keyword isn’t available as a .com, .net, or .org I typically scrap it and move on to the next.

That’s not to say that I don’t develop authority sites as well though. For those I typically don’t use a keyword in the url, but they are obviously a lot more work. Lots of unique content, backlinks, etc. But the sniper method doesn’t involve any of that stuff.

And as far as autoblogging, I’m working on wp mage right now with a few tweaks and will report back how well it works. And I’m also continually testing other autoblogging, auto-commenting software.

PPC has been pretty decent for me lately too, but I’ve mostly been focusing on SEO because Adwords quality scores are so fickle and I get tired of dealing with it. Yahoo PPC is still not too shabby though :)

Blackhat, greyhat, whitehat…none of it is off limits to me. I find all of it pretty interesting. But if you want a super simple white hat method to add some nice new income streams, I’d check out Google Sniper for sure. I’ve yet to see a negative review of it.

In a few days I’ll be laying out a simple process for anyone to properly utilize the Google Sniper method. It may be boring to some intermediate/advanced people, but it’s basically going to be in newbie form – in the kind of language I would send to my mom, friends, or anybody else who pretty much has no idea how to make money online. Go here, click this, make sure you do this, etc. That type of thing. I realize that may be boring or non earth-shattering, but hopefully it will help a few people. If its too basic for you, just ignore it. No biggie.

    Have a good one,

    Kelly

Partial Reveal of My SEO Bag of Tricks

I’ve been getting some good feedback from my blog so far, so I think I’ll keep it up. =)

I’m hesitating on “Truth Be Told Pt 2″ (the big reveal) because there are a lot of moving parts, and I’m a perfectionist. And some influential people have been twisting my arm, trying to get me to hold back some of my SEO tricks from the public. I’m also still trying to decide if I should make the other big announcement I was planning, and if so, how much detail I should include…

So maybe I’ll roll it all out slowly, or maybe I’ll withhold it forever? :-P

    I know, I know.

I’m going to continue working on the SEO case studies for now, because I want to make sure everything is crystal clear and proven time and time again.

I have a 15 step process that I rinse and repeat. And I’ll try to get it to you ASAP.

In the meantime I want to tell you about ONE of the steps.

This step is OPTIONAL in my process, and could be considered black hat. I don’t always use it – in fact I only use it for articles that are not on my own domain. And then of course I point those articles to my own domains, aka my “money sites”. This process involves two little known SEO software suites.

They are Traffic X Multiplier and SEO TrackBacks

I have both of these pieces of software running 24/7 on 2 extra computers I have in a spare room. They get me as many backlinks as I want to my web 2.0 articles. I can have 10,000 backlinks to my ezine article tomorrow and top 10 rankings within 3 days for phrases with under 1,000,000 competition. And, there’s no sandbox issue because ezinearticles.com gets thousands of backlinks every day, so it doesn’t even show up as a blip on Google’s radar.

Actually I recently tested it on a keyphrase with 9.7 million competition and was still able to get to # 9 in 7 days.

SEO TrackBacks randomizes your anchor text, comments, etc, and posts your link to as many blogs as you want. It also comes with a pinging tool that you simply load all of your articles and backlinks/trackbacks into, and it will ping all of them to 58 or so ping services daily, or however often you want, getting you indexed quickly.

Traffic X Multiplier creates thousands of MU (multi-user) blog accounts for you. I think I have around 100,000 blogs right now. I can autopost to them anytime I want, and can do so with the built in article creator, which links to the appropriate Clickbank product using your affiliate ID. And of course you can also include a link back to one of your ezine articles or any web 2.0 article you’ve written. That way, you get visitors and Clickbank sales simply due to the sheer volume of information you now have out there on the web, and you also benefit from linkjuice back to your web 2.0 articles.

Anyway, while I continue working on my 15 step SEO plan for you, I encourage you to check out both pieces of software. They were created by the one SEO guy I currently respect above all others. This guy’s notes blew me away at Amish Shah’s seminar, and ever since then I’ve been trying to study everything he does. I had no idea how smart this guy was. His name is Keith Baxter, and I hope you read every piece of info you can get your hands on from him.

    Until Next Time,

    Kelly

P.S. If you have a testimonial about any way that my stuff has helped you over the past 4-5 years, please let me know. I’d love to hear it. Or even just a cool RJ story. You’ll go into my special file of people who get first dibs on cool stuff I give away in the near future. And I’ll also think you’re super cool, which is obviously what you’ve REALLY always wanted in life. ;)
